Our client is a award winning Fintech who provide data and analytics to banks, brokers, asset managers, hedge funds and global exchange groups. 

About The Role: 

We are seeking a “hands on” DevOps Engineer to join an existing team of five, supporting up to 30 developers. In this role you will ensure the business operates as required and will also work on new projects and help develop and innovate the workflow.

The responsibilities are:

  • The CI/CD pipelines, development tools and release processes
  • Building and maintaining the AWS infrastructure that supports the applications, services & data pipelines
  • Integration with monitoring and security services
  • Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
  • Testing and examining code written by others and analysing results
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
  • Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions.
  • Working with development teams to support their needs.
  • Managing infrastructure using terraform and terragrunt.
  • Dealing legacy code/infrastructure.
  • Documenting procedures and processes.
  • Innovating and exploring with new tools and technology to help us improve.

Requirements 

Essential:

  • Strong AWS Experience
    • EC2, ECS, Api Gateway, ELB/NLB, VPC
    • Lambda is good to have skill
  • Terraform and Terragrunt, CloudFormation
  • Managing containers on AWS (Fargate on ECS)
  • Understanding the CI/CD processes and workflows
  • Understanding of networking such as DNS, TCP/IP
  • Passion for new technologies 

Good to have:

  • AWS Certifications
  • Architecture and design experience through to hands-on implementation
  • Experience deploying software on AWS
  • Organized and Result driven.
  • Excellent teamworking and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles
